House Museums are houses transformed into museums by will of their owners. They have in common the generosity of their founders, who opened their homes and art collections to the public.
Visitors learn about their way of living and plumb every moment of their lives, because are invited to see where they used to eat, to sleep, to play, to work, who their guests were. You explore living rooms, bathrooms, bedrooms, wardrobes, books, gardens, tennis courts, swimming pools, kitchens, you enter the butler’s pantries and where their staff lived but at the same time you will learn who was the only member of the staff to share the same floor with the masters of the house.
